Wild Wielangta is a group of concerned local residents who have come together to protect the forests and endangered wildlife of Wielangta from woodchipping.
If you:
- care about Wielangta’s threatened species and high conservation value forests
- want to keep forests in the ground to develop an economy through offsetting global carbon emissions
- would rather see our forests used for education and eco-tourism rather than woodchipping
then join us and spread the word.
The diverse forest communities of the Wielangta Forest area are located in the south east of Tasmania, Australia, about 50 km east of Hobart.

Hi Guys,
can you put up a map of the forest location? Perhaps something on Google Maps?
I’ve looked through the site and couldn’t figure it out, other than that it is Tassie.

How’s this look Tyler?
Pretty beautiful hey?
The Wielangta Forest Reserve is in the dirt road, only just visible, running between Kellevie and Rheban, pretty much in the centre of the satellite map.
Cheers
